2024 Westgate Health Cooperative Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Westgate Health Co-operative Ltd (the Co-operative) will be held on:

Date: Thursday, 31st October 2024
Time: 6:30pm
Venue: Newport Community Hub
Address: 13/15 Mason Street Newport.

An official invitation and an Agenda wth relevant reports will be circulated prior to the meeting.

Nominations for the Board

The following Directors who have filled a casual vacancy on the Board intend to retire from their position and renominate at the AGM:

• Tom Pere
• Bill Morton
• Kay Whitfield
• Jason Egbers

In addition, current Board Directors Beverly Kennedy will retire after completion of her term, and Stuart James will resign.

Nominations for election as a WHC Director/ Board Member

The Board is seeking nominations from WHC members as potential Directors, to enhance the diversity of the board and to complement the skills and experience of current directors.

We are looking for members who share our commitment to affordable, accessible health care and who want to positively contribute to WHC

The specific skills that we are seeking are:

• Knowledge of the health sector (including clinical experience) and/ or knowledge of the community sector
• Marketing / Public relations experience
• Legal expertise
• Accounting expertise
• Business development experience

To proceed, we request a completed Nomination for Board of Directors form to be received no later than September 30th 2024 - We will then arrange a time for nominees to meet with the Governance Sub-Committee of the Board to discuss their nomination. Nominees who are endorsed by the Board will be eligible for election at the AGM.
